Jesus says that when praying, the next thing we should do is submit ourselves and the whole earth to God's will. Soon, we will be petitioning God with our wants and needs and while he encourages us to do this it's important to acknowledge that whatever the answer, we will continue to trust in his goodness and his plan. Ultimately, Jesus is Lord, and what we want above all is for his kingdom to come, and his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
